Mirror Talk

A 6-Week Self-Image & Body-Work Workshop for Women and LGBTQ+ Adults

A space to finally talk about your body story without shrinking, explaining, or performing.

If you’ve ever felt judged in a gym, misunderstood in a health setting, or uncomfortable in your own body, Mirror Talk was created for you. This six-week experience brings together a small community of women and LGBTQ+ adults who want to feel safe in their bodies again — or for the first time.

This workshop is not about fixing you.
It’s about understanding you — your feelings, your story, your history with movement, and all the places where the fitness world made you feel like you didn’t belong.

Here, you do.

What We Explore Together

Over six weeks, we have guided conversations around:

  • What comes up when you hear words like fitness, exercise, or nutrition

  • How past experiences shaped the way you see your body today

  • Why movement may feel unsafe, stressful, or unfamiliar

  • What it means to exist in a world that comments on bodies that aren’t “the norm”

  • How to feel more grounded, confident, and connected in your body

This isn’t a lecture or an educational seminar.
There are no slides, no homework, and no performance expectations.

It’s an open, honest conversation led by someone in the wellness field who actually understands the harm mainstream fitness can cause — and actively rejects it.

You’ll Leave With:

  • Language for emotions you’ve carried alone

  • Relief from feeling misunderstood or “behind”

  • A grounded sense of belonging in your own body

  • Validation from people who truly get it

  • A new way of thinking about strength, health, and yourself

  • More confidence in moving your body at your pace

This workshop meets you exactly where you are — physically, emotionally, and mentally.

No pressure.
No shame.
No “fixing.”
Just space, connection, and clarity.

Who This Is For

Mirror Talk was designed for:

  • Women of color

  • LGBTQ+ adults

  • High-achieving women who have never seen themselves reflected in fitness spaces

  • Anyone who has felt judged, dismissed, or uncomfortable in traditional exercise environments

  • People healing from past negative or confusing experiences with movement or food

You do not need experience, knowledge, or confidence to join. Just a willingness to show up as you are.

What This Is Not

  • Not a workout class

  • Not a nutrition lesson

  • Not therapy

  • Not a weight-focused or performance-focused space

  • Not a place where you have to share if you don’t want to

This is a conversation — one that honors your lived experience, protects your identity, and supports your relationship with movement.
